the oils in your new gearbox will need to be replaced after 500km
Step 1:
All midnite gearboxes should only be filled with ATF DEX3 to maintain warrenty.
Start by draining the gearbox as per Nissan service manuals.
Step 2:
On the Passengers side of the gearbox is a bung for filling the gearbox oil.
When the oil starts flowing out of this bung. re-install the bung and tighten
Step 3:
located on the side, you will see a plate like this photo.
this is the reverse lockout.
on older midnite boxes this cover did not have a Forward and Rear marking. please mark this with a marker if it does not, as this part can be installed backwards.
This is were you will add an extra 750ml of ATF
when done re-install the lockout, clean up any spills, and your Done!
